Attractions Located in the unspoilt region of the Auvergne in central southern France. We are serviced by the airport of Clermont Ferrand, below an extinct volcano, less than an hours flight from Paris.
The region of the Auvergne is famous for its farm produce, volcanic natural parks, unspoilt nature and traditional French living. The clear Souille river flows nearby and its secret inner life offers us fly fishing, kayaking, bird watching, picnicking and swimming. Perched on the rim of the Souille Gorge are chateaus, volcanic lakes, and some famous meanders.
The Massif Centrals rich volcanic soil offers sweet grazing for happy cows and in turn some of the worlds finest cheeses. The dramatic Parc Naturel Regional Des Volcans D’Auvergne is a chain of 80 cinder cones the best known, Puy De Dome, is 45 minutes away. Great views over one of the largest environmentally protected areas in France with superb walking and mountain biking, hanggliding and parasailing.
Nearby is the famous spa town of Vichy with its healing waters bench-lined walkways, covered promenades, beautiful parks, shopping and classic period architecture by the river Allier.
Clermont Ferrand (below an extinct volcano) with its soaring gothic cathedrale notre dame, narrow streets, open squares, myriad of restaurants and museums of ; fine art ,natural history, archaeology and textiles is 40 minutes away.

Le Couret is located a few minutes drive from the village of Menat. Follow the "Le Couret" signs in the village, we are 4kms away. Or call us and we can meet you in the village. Menat is on the N144. The nearest international airport is Clermont Ferrand 45 minutes away. Pick up can be arranged.
