Nearest town: Ceret

Enjoy breakfast on your own private balcony on the first floor of this charming old farmhouse with beautiful views of the surrounding tree-clad hills and valley beyond, where one can walk amongst vines & cherry orchards and enjoy fantastic views of Mt Canigou & the Mediterranean. Take a dip in the pool, or a short stroll perhaps, before lunching at one of the pavement cafes in arty Ceret, shaded from the sun by giant plane trees - under which Picasso is said to have painted when he sojourned there. It is a truly idyllic setting at the gateway to the Vallespir - a region of outstanding natural beauty. It is ideally placed with the Pyrenees on its doorstep; Spain & the Costa Brava within 45 mins, and the Mediterranean coast a mere 30 mins away.

As well as a huge variety of flora and fauna, the region offers a rich cultural history with an abundance of romanesque abbeys, chateaux & castles and much, much more. For the more sporty there is trekking (the trans-Pyrenean footpath is closeby); sailing, diving, water-skiing, horse riding, etc. Or one can simply take life easy, lounge by the pool, or soak up the sun on your balcony, listen to the birdsong and let the world carry on spinning.

B&B Rooms & suites are furnished to a high standard and much care has been taken to give an individual 'feel' to each one.

B&B Rooms have large double bed with mosquito net, sitting area with Satellite TV; fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, iron and hairdryer. Breakfast is served on your own private, balustraded balcony (with table, chairs and parasol) with lovely views of the surrounding hills & valley beyond, or if you prefer, in the main salon of the house.

Suites are similar but have twin beds and the added advantage of a comfortable & well furnished sitting room; kitchen cum diner with microwave, fridge, tea & coffee making facitilies. In addition there is Satellite TV, ironing facilities & a hairdryer. A private balustraded balcony (with table, chairs and parasol)overlooks the garden & offers fantastic views of the surrounding hills and valley beyond.
